Neighborhood/Play GroupsFamilies that live in the same general area of the Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan Area have formed groups in their own areas to make it easier for families to meet on a more regular basis. Specific dates for each group's activities are listed on the calendar. Clark County, Washington - Pandas All agesCoordinator: Mary Murray The Pandas plan monthly play dates for preschoolers, fun activities for older girls (7-11), and even have a bookclub for grown ups. They also plan group events such as an annual fall trip to the pumpkin patch.  1½ - 5 years oldCoordinator: Caroline Becker Group meets in SE Portland at Woodstock Park. Meets four times each month on various days. Join the Yahoo Woodstock Playgroup. Eastside - Kids Club 6 - 9 years oldCoordinator: Jodi Wilf Join in with other FCC kids in fun and friendship. Older and younger siblings welcome. Beaverton - Coffee and Kids All agesCoordinator: Kris Carlson Group meets in Beaverton in homes and occasional field trips. Meets late morning with coffee for parents. China SonsAll ages Coordinator: Holly Odil This new group just launched in January 2007 to provide opportunities for families with China boys to meet, get to know each other, and have activities of interest to boys. |
