Hello, I am Tanya Lee. I have 4 children adopted from China, 3 of those have severe congenital heart disease. I am not a member of FCC only because the hospital time has so far not allowed our family much else.
I thought I would let you know that this October I am taking a group of 8 people on a medical missions trip to the Little Flowers Medical Foster Home in Beijing China. I am a nurse, there will be 2 other nurses, 2 cardiac physicians from Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a Child Life Specialist, and a student. We will spend a week with the foster home and the local hospitals, evaluating children with heart defects and training the nanny staff. We hope this will be the first of many such trips.
On the evening of September 22 we are having a dinner and silent auction to raise awareness and funds for our upcoming trip. If you would be able to attend and/or help us spread the word we would be so grateful. You can email me at this email address, my husband at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our medical team has a blog at www.littleheartsmedical.org
Thank you for your time, we look forward to hearing from you,
Our FCC chapter is excited to be hosting a special screening of the new documentary “The Invisible Red Thread” in Portland. The date, time and location are currently in negotiation and will be announced soon — on our website, our Facebook page (Like us!), and via email.
